The Sjöberg Foundation
The Flagship grant of 7 MSEK/year for 3 + 7 years is the longterm foundation for SPRINTR. It is used to both build the infrastructure, start SPRINTR-Real nationally and perform biomarker research within the SPRINTR network.
Funding
SPRINTR was initiated in 2023 with the aim of building capacity for and starting precision medicine explorative studies. The Sjöberg Flagship grant, starting from June 2024, is the long-term financial support that enables us to evolve and expand the SPRINTR concept.
Swedish Government
SPRINTR recieved a grant of 12 MSEK for implementation and extension of the SPRINTR concept to strengthen the availability for precision medicine in Sweden
Swedish Research Counsil
SPRINTR recieved a planning grant (#2024-06349) for a clinical trial. Work is ongoing and a full application for the Clinical trial grant is planned for SPRINTR-TRIAL 1 in 2027.

JTC for Pharmacogenomic strategies for personalised medicine approaches
The Nordic PCPM Forum involving partners in Norway, Finland, Denmark and Sweden was granted 4.5 M€ for a project leveraging spatial multiomics to optimize biomarker panels for treatment prediction in prostate cancer
EIC Pathfinder Challenge
The international project Prometheus led by Magdalena Görtz at DKFZ Heidelberg, Germany, was granted for a project creating a multiparametric diagnosis and prediction tool, in which SPRINTR-Real will contribute in the validation phase.
